Anat Baniel Method Lessons for Adults
Whether it is for pain relief or a mobility issue, a stroke or acquired brain injury or even chronic tension and discomfort, we are committed to helping our clients find solutions to their problems.

The Anat Baniel Method
The Anat Baniel Method (ABM) uses a concept called brain plasticity to help you to take advantage of the fact that the brain can change (for the better) in response to its own experiences. The ABM aims to help provide your brain with new sensory and motor information that will help you to move better and more efficiently while reducing unwanted patterns of tension.
With the new patterns that are introduced, you can experience increased flexibility, coordination, and strength of your body and mind that leads toward lifetime fitness.
There are two ways to experience ABM for pain relief:
1) Individual Lessons - Functional Synthesis (FS):
In an individual FS lesson the practitioner will work together with you to create a specific individual plan to address your current needs and goals.
Gentle and pain free movements are used to help the client discover new, easier, and more efficient ways to move that can help you to reduce/eliminate pain and limitations and reach higher levels of performance.
The client learns how to distinguish between a movement that is well performed and one that is poorly performed. As a result the client learns easy, effective action in all walks of life, thereby understanding how to overcome their limitations and also to prevent future injury.
Sessions are conducted with the client fully clothed, sitting, standing or reclining on a specially designed table.
2) Group Classes - Transformational Movement Lessons (TMLs):
The TMLs take students through an elegant process of discovering new possibilities in every area of life, including movement, feeling, sensing, thinking. Some lessons are simple, others complex.
In the TMLs, we will be verbally guiding you. These lessons are gentle, safe and easy to follow, yet the outcomes can be dramatic.
The lessons are developed to move students to their next level of freedom, skill, and self-discovery. By recapturing the freedom of childhood learning, you will learn to bring about miraculous changes in yourself.
Each movement lesson centers around a specific function or movement skill like twisting, bending, balancing, rolling, etc. and the lessons build on one another to bring about profound improvements in flexibility, coordination and also work to heighten self-perception and mental acuity.
The exercises are structured and taught in such a way that people of all ages and abilities can participate and learn at their own pace.
